Melissa’s Journey

Join us in supporting Melissa Fleming, a brave and resilient fighter, in her ongoing battle against triple negative breast cancer. In April of 2023 she received the devastating news that as a newly divorced mother of a six-year-old, she now had to start a long fight against cancer. Triple negative is one of the fastest spreading breast cancers. It is hard to treat and has a high rate of recurrence.

After enduring six grueling months of chemotherapy, followed by surgery, and then five intense weeks of radiation, Melissa has thankfully achieved a complete response from chemo! However, her journey is still not over. She now faces the critical final phase of her immunotherapy, a vital step in her fight against recurrence.

Melissa’s spirit and determination have been nothing short of inspirational. However, the financial burden of continuous treatment, recovery, and the unforeseen challenges that lie ahead are immense. It’s in these times of hardship that the power of community shines brightest. We are coming together to host a benefit in honor of Melissa, aiming to alleviate some of the financial strain and show her that she is not alone in this fight.

This event is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a celebration of Melissa’s courage, a testament to the strength found in unity, and an opportunity for us to contribute positively to her healing journey.
